Research

Human systems biology, built to explain and intervene.

We combine deeply phenotyped cohorts, multi-omics, causal and predictive modeling, and human experimental systems to move from association toward mechanism.

01
Program one

AI-enabled digital twins & longitudinal multi-omics

Our longitudinal studies integrate microbiome profiles across body sites with metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics, cytokines, clinical laboratories, physiology, exposures, and life events. We build individualized models of biological state, stability, perturbation, recovery, and disease transition.

Program two

Human immune organoids for microbiome–host mechanisms

We develop organoid systems from human tonsil and spleen—secondary lymphoid tissues that preserve key immune interactions—to test how microbial strains, peptidoglycan fragments, antigens, and therapeutic perturbations influence immune organization and function.

Program three

Inflammation, pulmonary vascular disease & precision medicine

We use single-cell transcriptomics, immunomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and microbiome profiling to define disease mechanisms in pulmonary arterial hypertension and other chronic inflammatory conditions. Current work examines oral–systemic microbial signals, HERV-K-associated immunity, and actionable inflammatory endotypes.

Collaboration

Work across disciplines and institutions.

Our programs are designed for collaboration among clinicians, cohort scientists, computational researchers, immunologists, microbiologists, and translational partners.

Clinical cohorts

Integrate longitudinal biospecimens, phenotypes, and outcomes into mechanistic multi-omics studies.

Methods & computation

Develop statistical, causal, and AI methods that remain interpretable and experimentally testable.

Translation

Advance biomarkers, organoid platforms, and intervention concepts toward practical health impact.

Bring a question, cohort, or technology.

We welcome collaborations that connect human variation with testable biology.
